Our goal is the delivery of pipeline testing, chlorination and water installation services to civil contractors, engineers and regional councils.

Established by leading testing technicians and co-owners, Alex Rondel and Lyle Cupido, the company follows over 20 years of experience shared between the two. “Together we spent our first years of work in the trenches, learning and gaining important skills from industry veterans before we both specialised as Drain layers and Water installers from leading perspectives as foremen/supervisors. Then came our dive into pipeline testing and chlorination with the benefits of project management experience to boot.”
Today Alex and Lyle dive a passionate and expert attitude into the civil construction industry within Canterbury and abroad with the goal of cost efficient outcomes that will help “create lifestyles over creating huge profits”

Alex Rondel
Company position
Alex is a water installer by trade holding both his level 4 water installer and drain laying qualifications. He boasts just over 10 years experience in the civil construction trades, from laying kms of drainage to installing and overseeing intricate live water connections. Alex is also an approved Christchurch City Council water installer.
Experience includes, DI pipe and fittings installation, PE pipe installation, concrete pipe installation, PVC pipe installation, pipeline pressure testing, PE welding, class 4 truck driving and excavator/machine operation.
Lyle started as a drainlayer as far back as the SCIRT days in christchurch shortly after the earthquake. Eager to excell in a field with such a high skill cieling he has used his decade of working to move through all facets of the industry and eventually specialise as a water installer and tester. Lyle holds his level 4 Water installer and drainlaying qualification.
Experience includes, Di pipe fittings and pipe installation, PE pipe installation, PVC pipe installation, concrete pipe installation, pipeline presure testing, existing and new drainage installation, deep drainage and excavator/machine operation.

Hydrostatic pressure testing identifies material defects and verifies strength and water tightness. Pipe systems are filled with water until devoid of air. The pipeline or sections of, are gradually pressurised nominally to 1.5 times the design capacity. Pipes installed below water tables may require modified test pressures to allow for ground-water height.
How we can help
Fresh water is gradually pumped in and the air is bleed off through vents and valves until maximum pressure is reached. The pressure is maintained in the pipeline over variable lengths of time depending on pipe type, length, materials, site conditions and temperature. We use a range of industry standards and techniques to ensure pipeline integrity is achieved. We can help locate and identify the cause of leaks if required and retest once repaired.
